Painting Inspiration and Concept

"LOS QUARKS" is a Mexican painting by Javier Lopez Pastrana, which is part of the artist's personal collection. Created in 2020, this artwork is composed using mixed media on canvas and has a square format with dimensions of 100x100cm (39x39in).

The painting explores the subject of Quarks, which are elementary particles that constitute matter and play a role in the construction of energetic manifestations observed in quantum physics. Through an abstraction of the Quarks particles, the artist reflects on their possible symbolic visual representation.

The composition of "LOS QUARKS" follows the NeoCrotalic style and incorporates an optical kinetic rhythm. The painting features segmented lines that construct translational symmetry trajectories, creating a visually dynamic and thought-provoking piece. The artist employs the seven basic elements according to the "Best Maugard Method," a technique used in Mexican art education.

The aim of this artwork is to manifest a plastic abstraction that becomes concrete when captured and frozen in visual time. It invites viewers to reflect based on their own cultural information, allowing for a polysemic interpretation of the work. Each viewer's reflection and interpretation may vary depending on their individual perspectives and knowledge.

"LOS QUARKS" is a Mexican painting that uses NeoCrotalic composition and optical kinetic rhythm to present a possible symbolic visual representation of Quarks particles. Through its intricate segmented lines and translational symmetry, the artwork stimulates contemplation and encourages viewers to engage with the subject matter. It is a thought-provoking contemporary art piece that invites reflection and interpretation.

In summary, "LOS QUARKS" is a Mexican painting by Javier Lopez Pastrana that explores the symbolic visual representation of Quarks particles using the NeoCrotalic style. It incorporates an optical kinetic rhythm and features segmented lines constructing translational symmetry trajectories. This thought-provoking artwork invites viewers to reflect and interpret the complexities of Quarks and their significance in the realm of quantum physics.

Artist Quote

"Making an abstraction of the subject of the Quarks particles, that are constituents of matter, which together with the Hadrons and Leptons, intervene in the construction of the energetic manifestations that are observed in quantum physics, making reflections about their possible symbolic visual representation, I arrive to concretize the idea by means of a NeoCrotalic composition and optical kinetic rhythm with segmented lines constructing translational symmetry trajectories and using the seven basic elements according to the “Best Maugard Method”.
The idea of the work "LOS QUARKS" is to manifest a plastic abstraction that becomes concretion when it is captured and frozen in visual time.
The works serve to make the viewer reflect according to the cultural information that he himself has. With the above, the polysemic aspect that the work can produce is clear."
